Brief Story Line
ShahRukh always dreams to play the role of devdas ...and he lauds the performance of Dilip Saheb in 1955 version..and he has excelled in his own way ..the dreamy eyes ..shines when he sees his lady love paro ..as they story is well known...stillin about 3 lines ...shahrukh loves paro wants to get married parents reject and paro is married to another person..lover is heart broken doesn’t have courage to break the rules of the society takes refuge with alcohol and a courtesan aka Madhuri dishit..:P...as Paro Aish excels with ease and man she is gorgeous .. a lil more than a barbie doll desi version though...at last devdas dies with alcohol and thoughts of his beloved...wait wait dont tell he is a looser he is not a looser ..i feel he is a winner he hasn’t compromised on his heart which the gen y does now a days..good to see some one still pure at heart and not throwing the feelings of heart for compromises in life...yet..that soft heart melts away in heat of the situation ..as a millenial person I wont recommend but take positive things that is pure heart and dedication towards loveof his life...that’s the story.

In the industry which has seen 99.6% flops in 2002 this movie comes in with 50 crore budget if it sinks a majorprobs but in nick of time this movie saved the whole industry as such...not only the money is recovered but it is a hit...why a looser’s movie is a hit??...wat’s winning point in this movie..this movie has contemporary look devdas is potrayed as a lanky brat with rich tastes unlike a road side drunkard..he has class...speaks fluent english...dude..sanjay knows wat appeals for today’s generation...that’s the selling point..if u go to this movie u wont be bored...for u ve a lot to watch for...dont miss the dance number of Dhola Re ...it’s a master work...from a visionary..

More over wats more special about the making of this movie ..Bharat Shah Arrest.../ Accidents on sets - broken bones...Hefty Budgets..tensions..all curiosity has paid off..with this flick being a treat for eyes..even if story doesn’t appeal..some thing is worth watching.
How Devdas is a hit is again because of the strategy of constant hype creation in media..if u would have observed the initial promo’s which show paro and devdas’s play in song ishhhh...and then silent clippings of alcohol ...wat a strategy....Isshhhh...

’Silsila Ye Chaahat Ka’ ...indeed has a melodious voice of the new kid on the block..whois just 18yrs old named Shreya ...she sounds good with the good orchestral embedded with amazing voice ..i freak on her voice ...:-D..another song by shreya is ’’Dola Re Dola’’..in competence with Kavita krishnaMurthy.A Meerut poet named Nusrat Badr who has provided the lyrics of eight out of nine songs in this one and has done an excellent job for a fresher !...‘Woh Chand Jaisi Ladki’ ...a solo.. typical Udit Narayan Style and he excels in it with ease...and gives the sweet touch with excellent lyrics .ChaLak ChaLak...Another number by Shreya along With Udit and Vinod Rathod. ’’Bairi Piya’’ the best song in the whole album again the innocent voice of Shreya seems perfect for the Situation..Over all .. a melodious retreat to music Lovers..

Even before losing the light of life, all Devdas urged, was to see his Paro just once ...Uff ! it was just the starting of the best scene I feel ..Death is not the end to this legend ..the fall and rolling in to the arms of death at Paro’s door step is indeed the welcoming of the legend to the doors of heaven....
