Well, I know that most of the people liked the movie but I should write an honest review.Thhe truth is this that I’ve read the original bengali book and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has ruined the whole story!!You may disagree with this but...
Like other people I was really excited to Dev & Paro on screen and Shahrukh khan was one of my fav actors.When the movie started the credits looked really impressive and I thought the movie is gonna be great, and the rest is history!I am a bengali and I see Durga puja every year but I’ve never seen any body dancing in the front of Ma durga’s idol.It was the most ridiculous part of the movie that a ’Thakurain’ of that period was dancing with a ’Tavayaph’ on the occasion of Durga puja.Oh my god!The choreography, did it looked like of that time?
Shahrukh khan’s most awaited movie dissappointed me like anything!Devdas returning back Oxford University and speaking English with Paro surprised me the most.Paro’s house made up of colourful mirrors and the jewllery which she aws wearing, does she looked like a poor couple’s daughter and not only that Chandramukhi’s ’Kotha’ was also worth watching, the lights, the structure of the Kotha and from where on the earth she got nail enamel of every colour?
Was it really a tribute to the great writer Sharatchandra chattopadhyay, He didn’t had such conservative thoughts which the movie was showing in the cinversation of Chandramukhi nad Paro.
I’m not blaming Sanjay Leela Bhansali but please don’t call it a tribute to yhe great writer.Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made a good movie but it did’nt looked like Devdas!Probably too modern...Hope you don’t disagree with this and if you do then please tell me.I love to be commented.
