What a waste of time! Before I go on to trash the movie, let me set the context right. After a heavy dinner at a friend’s place, the 7 of us built up enthu to take the cab to Yishun (far off from East Coast) for the midnight show.
What awaited us was a series of songs interrupted by a badly developed male lead, a visually appealing but histrionically stunted performance from a former Miss world and a former femme fatale trying too hard to hide her age.
The movie is too long and meandering to hold interest and the plethora of songs do not help. Shahrukh’s character is not really clear and defined.
To his credit, Sanjay Leela has given us a feast of colors and grandeur but little else.
