Have you ever thought that why Devdaas was a hit ?
Let me tell you. This movie was a hit just because of stars and its huge sets. Beside this , it had nothing. Even, the script which Bhansali selected was repeated several times.
SONGS -
Songs of Devdaas were as boring as the movie. They had nothing. Even, the most listened track ’’ Dola Re Dola ’’was a copy of the song Nimbooda of HDDCS. Bairy Piya also lost its impact as the soul of the song was missing, only the line Isssshhh...... made it hit. It got the popularity which it never deserved.
Chalak Chalak, this song was an average song. But, this could have been better if some special instruments had been used.
Hum Pe Ye Kisne-This song was picturized very well. Madhuri’s dance was fabulous. It was a typicalKothaa song. But, it also lacked melody.
Silsila ye Chahat ka, This was the BOREST song of the album. It had nothing in it.
Finally, we can make out that Devdaas’s music was poor and if it could have been better then it would definitely have raised the charts for Devdaas.
Its my suggestion that if anybody is planning to buy Devdaas’s album, then he must drop the idea.
