I had booked a Maruti Zen Estilo LXI on 24/04/08 through Dewars, by paying them Rs 5000 by cheque of ICICI Bank, as the Sales Executive (Mr Arijit Biswas)said that it was a token amount to book the car.Because of their callousness, irresponsibility and sheer bad attitude, I cancelled the order by phone on 02/05/08 and on the same day, bought the same Pearl Silver Zen Estilo LXI from Machino Techno Sales, Alipore.The car was delivered to me on that day itself.
When I hd earlier telephoned to Dewar’s on 2nd May, I was told to cancel my booking in writing to them.I wrote a letter to them and sent it by Regd. with A/D, on 7/05/08.The acknowledgement card never came back.After repeatedly telephoning them every week till today, I am always told that the concerned Sales Executive will ring you back.I told them that whats the use, and he never rings me back anyways.I even spoke to Mr Manoj Ghosh, supposed to be some Customer Care manager.
About 10 days back, I telephoned them once again and wanted to speak to the store manager directly.Some very shockingly rude, ill-behaved woman called Jhimli answered the phone, claiming to be the manager.She said that I can forget about my money, as I had cancelled the order, and I also wont be able to do anything about that.The audacity!!
I have written to Maruti Suzuki Sales, both Gurgaon office and Kolkata office(Regional office-1), telling them the entire details.I am just waiting for a satisfactory reply from either of them.
I would leave no stone unturned to get my Rs.5000/ back, as well as bring these very uncouth, very rude and very dishonest dealer to book!!
Its a promise, Dewar’s Garage Beware!!
