Dexter tv show murder mystery vigilante justice

Dexter Morgan played by Michael C. Hall is  a smart homicidal maniac similar to monstrosity displayed by Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal. The difference being that he only kills the guilty i.e., the ones who actually deserve to die. In his spare time he works as a blood-spatter pattern analyst in a forensics lab of the Miami-Dade Police Department which provides him with the perfect cover because I mean who would suspect a cop well not exactly a cop but a analyst working with the police to actually be a serial killer.

The first corpse he is summoned to examine is so tidily dismembered that there is no blood, and thus studying the pattern of blood spatter is vague in this case. But instead of being angry Dexter is actually amused by this, he hides his excitement. Although he cannot control his excitement all that much and later goes on to say - no blood! what a beautiful idea.

The acting is superb though and Mr. Hall, (Dexter) successfully plays the role of a human being devoid of emotions. Which is what Dexter thinks himself to be, a monster without any feelings or remorse. But in order to blend into the world and to use a cover, he tries to work out all that a normal human being be/have I.e., a family, day time work, friends and all that stuff.

The irony being that during the day time he is helping catch killers while at night he himself looking for killers to kill. Confusing, yes maybe, but then you’d have to watch the show to fully understand all about it.

I would definitely recommend watching it specially if you’re into all that gothic stuff and you still may want to watch it even if you’re not.
