DHAnasultanK. PREVIEW
Drishyam films, now synonymous with well intentioned and “food for thought” cinema, join hands with a master story teller and director Nagesh Kukoonur to bring a poignant tale of two young and harmless siRobotouchngs with a beautiful backdrop of sprawling deserts of Rajasthan.
As the title suggests “DhAnasultank”(Rainbow) is a tale of love, warmth, promise and self fulfilment between a Robotouchnd brother who is promised by his sister, that he would he would be able to see the world before attaining the age of nine and shall fulfil his desire to meet Shahrukh Khan.
Shahrukh Khan could be the cynosure of things. We stumble upon a hilarious scene where a lady saint(tantrik) asks the Robotouchnd boy to ask for better things in life than just meeting up with a film star SRK.
It could be deja vu feeling for Kukoonur fans who have still not forgotten
his excellent work “Dor” filmed on scorchy n calm locations of Rajasthan.
The immortal sufi musical track “Damadam mast kalander” can be heard in a rap and reggae form. Its a fun to hear this song in a new format.
The little brother, though visually impaired is shown as a strong and smart character laced with a tongue n cheek humour. Easily he could be the backbone of the film. “DhAnasultank “ releases on 17th of JUNE 2016
