Just went and read an article and could’nt resist writing on Dharam Ji. Staying in Bombay I was shocked this was the only film star who opened his door for me and 2 small boys and welcomed me into his home with his son Sunny.
Yes a very very big hearted person is our Dharam ji, I should say Hema ji was lucky in getting him where yester years actresses failed.
I don’t know if people have seen movies of his like Dil bhi tera hum bhi terey) Poornima) Kaajal) Shaadi) Ghazab) or Yakeen.
Yes some very good movies were given to us by him.
We remember a Phool aur Patthar but forget Izzat, Aankhen or a Haqueequat.
Dharam ji is not only a good human being but a doting father to his sons, he made sure they became good actors, no doubt not like him, remember Main jat yamla pagla deewana film Pratighaat, well it was Dharam ji can’t dance fine but I can make you people love me.
Pyar hi Pyar with Vyjaianthimala a nice comedy, then Anpadh with Mala Sinha, Jhwar Baatah with Saira ji, Dal roti khao Prabhu ke gun gaoon.
Yakeen was a suspense thriller so was Kab kyoon aur Kahaan?
I prefered his old movies like Jugnu, Tum haseen main jawan, Aadmi aur Insaan,
Phool aur Patthar, Sharafat, Loafer, I mean countless.
He is one star who has acted with most Indian Film Industry actresses. Jay Bahaduri now known as Jaya Bachchan started her career with him in Guddi.
It was very easy for women to fall for him with his rustic village looks it could only be Dharam ji to conquer a woman the best one Hema ji.
I still wish he gave us movies like a Sholay, Chupke Chupke he is great but I would rather watch his earlier films then the ones made now.
Mera gaon mera desh or Main chup rahungi Dharam ji gave his best Samadhi also was one of his good movies.
Just got another few movies one was Ishq par zor nahin with Sadhana and Shikar, Ayee milan ki bela. Aya sawan jhoom ke and Satyakam yes he had some good movies and still I am sure if I can keep remembering I will get a dozen more not the flops but the ones worth watching.
