The most awaited movie of the year has finally hit the screens . After all media hypes and breath taking promos everyone was flying high on expectations , me too . So now the question is , Is the movie worth a watch ? Yes of course . A pure entertainer once again from Yash Raj family . Is it worth the hype ? hmm ...... Well I need to think ...........
I got the tickets for the very first show , though I had to pay some extra money . I saw the excitement in everyone’s eyes as thy walked into the cinema hall (mostly youngsters ) . But the excitement was not so frisky as they left the hall .It seemed as if the movie didnt rise upto their expectations .
Hrithik ( Aryan [ Mr. A ] ) is stunning .He is an international thief who does the impossible things . His planning is flawless and he has the looks to make any girl go on her knees for him . Now Mr. A is targeting India and he is about to face the biggest challenge in his life from ACP Jai Dixit . I really appreciate Hrithik for the effort he has taken for his character . You will see him jumping from high cliffs , sand boarding on the deserts of Namibia and roller skating on the busy roads of Mumbai . At the end of the day its Hrithik who steals the show .
Bips ( Shonali ) is an old classmate of Jai and a police officer who is tracing Mr.A in the first half . But in the second half Bips comes as the twin sister of Shonali ( sister’s name is Monali ) and that was quite unnecessary . So now the question is what happened to Shonali who was dying to get her hands on Mr . A ? She is nowhere in the second half . In short her character in the movie has framed up to be of an item girl . But honestly , she was damn hot in the bikini !!!
Ash( Sunehri ) has done something different in her career and trust me she is looking so hot , You cant take your eyes off her though some may not find her new looks attractive . Sunehri is an ambitious girl who inspite of being an average girl living in Mumbai dreams of a luxurious life in Amsterdam or Australia . And the most astounding part is that she too is a theif . Jai hires her to team up with Mr A and to give him information about his next robbery so that he can catch him redhanded . She has done a decent job and has given her best .
Abhi and Uday dont need an introduction as they were part of the Dhoom 1 . The only difference is that Uday has now become a Cop and is assisting Jai Dixit .
Abhi has done a good job as ACP Jai dixit . Well done Juinor B you are getting better !!! I liked the way he delivers his dialogues and his mannerisms are quite appealing .
The story revolves around an Mr A ( Hrithik ) and Jai Dixit ( Abhi ) and Sunehri (Ash) .
After a series of robberies all over the world Mr A’s next target is India . And then the theif-cop chase begins , from mumbai to rio (Brazil) .
The story turns into a different point whn Mr. A fells in love with Sunehri . Then the so called perfect thief flips 360 degrees and becomes the usual Hindi Film Hero , Love me or Kill me standard.
The special effects and gadgeteries are first rate . Cinemotography is excellent .Action is pretty good ( though it didnt live up to expectations ) . I felt the trace of Mission Impossible 2 in the first and last scenes ( mask scene and the bike stunts ). The actions could have been more perfect . The biggest minus point of the movie is the narration . But of course the movie is stylish .Uday Chopra was a relief . He was quite succesfull in makin all laugh , though he was makin a fool of himself .
The music was a let down . "Dhoom again " was a decent sound track though it cant replace dhoom machale . " Crazy Kiya Re " was also not bad . The background score was a let down in some scenes ( particurly the train sequence ) .
The movie had all the essential masalas but still something was missing ( No , its not John anyways ) . An entertainer but not adrenaline pumping as expected . The climax could have been better ( I am not saying its bad ).
Hrithik Roshan is one reason why yu should go and watch this movie . He has done complete justice to his character as an international thief . He has the looks , He has the physique , He has the style . And his onscreen chemistry with Ash is wonderful . I hope we get to see more of Hrithik-Ash pairing in future .They are perfect .
And now the most important question . Hrithik or John , Who was better ? Well I cant compare them both , they are entirely different . But I think John was more convincing .
Overall the movie did not live upto expectations . May be because of the hype it created all over .But its a welcome change for Hindi Cinema and its worth a watch . Go and watch the movie without much expectations only on Big Screen . You will enjoy ,
