Dhoom zarooor but innovate !!

Ok so Dhoom2 is here and I made it a point to see it first day first show. The film is all about "showbaazi" - paced up action, colorful babes, bike chases, style and more style.. But thats it there.. Dont expect a story or logic from this film ( I feel even the film makers werent thinking on those lines as well).

The film finally ends up being an average package. The film had all the potential in it to bcome a great movie.. but the lack of story, average screenplay, unacceptable logic and excess amount of "showbaazi" hinders it to do so..

Hrithik ( Mr A) is a world famous thief and has stolen the world’s most precious items from all over the world and the Indian police led by 2 "very" smart officers in Abhishek and Bipasha is trying to catch him.. The Indian police sure cares about the world :)

Their care though results in good output as Mr A tries his hand at Mumbai next. But the officers in charge are more interested in impressing each other( they sing and dance together) that they are helpless as Mr A gets off after the steal.. and then starts the chase game- "tu age main peeche stuff" and action.

Hrithik is the great saviour for the film. His looks , his style and screen presence is what saves this movie really. So great is his screen presence that Abhishek looks so so very ordinary in this film.

And then there’s the funny man Uday Chopra as Ali who does a good job.

Now for the ladies. Ash as the love interest of Hrithik and the link between him and Abhishek surely outsmarts Bipasha when it comes to looks. Ash is looking gorgeous and very slim in this movie. But sadly there’s no Ash in Bikini. This has been compensated by a sizzling Bipasha in bikini and more.. Bips does a great job at showing off her body and is pretty good overall, though she cant match Ash on pure looks..

The chases happen, the love happens, the songs roll on from time to time.. The movie is easy paced and has some life surely.. All this is helped by good humor from Uday as Ali. His dreams about his future with the girls he meets up with is really good.

The chemistry between Ash and Hrithik is quite good. And the kiss scene between them adds life for the audience. Ash has always had a tendency to overact and she does it again here. Hrithik on the other hand is close to perfect and he completely outclasses Abhishek to such an extent that one starts to feels that had he not been married in real life, Ash would have surely gone with him than Abhishek (in real life that is!!).

Abhishek lacks punch in this movie and his only saving grace is that he doesnt overact anywhere and does a balanced act. He also gets to hit a few blows to Hrithik which lookes so tough to believe cos of the heavy dissimilarity between their builds- on one hand Hrithik has every inch of his body chiseled to perfection while Abhishek looks lax in his actions. Big B’s baby also gets to dance with the sizzling Bips but thats all about it.. It surely is not his movie..

The fact that Ash is the link between the cop Abhishek and the thief Hrithik makes the movie quite complicated towards the end but the the film ends up with an "alls well that ends well" feel.

The locations and action is very good. Songs/Music is ok too, though one would have expected better results from Pritam. Dance is great from Hrithik and Ash. The girls are good too, Bips with all the exposure she can( using 2 roles for that) and Ash showing of her body as well.

All in all the ending is fine after a strange anticlimax.. Nice catchy background score, peppy dance and songs, great performances, and good looking stars makes this movie click.. But a very predictable plot, lack of any innovative storyline or scenes and somewhat over stylish feel retard this movie from being a great one..
