Firstly, I have not seen this movie. Also, before you read my review rather article, be with a cool mind. Because, most of you dont get hand-in-hand with me in the aftermath. Let me start. Why do we require movies like Dhoom or Dhoom 2? If we compare with Hollywood they have so many motives to make movies as such like technical brilliance, exposing automobile technology afore and similar ones. Here, our counterparts are not good in either directorial brilliance or technological advances.
All that matters is money and cheap publicity. Movies like these could be curbed only when people reject it without watching them. To cut short, I will accept movies like Dhoom or Dhoom 2, only when they fetch an international award in at least one category. I dont mind even if it is not an Oscar. A movie can set high standards only when it follows certain set of standards. People like Hrithik (dancing like a street-side urchin) and Abhishek (who doesnt have an identity of his own and never can he have in the future) can never bring glory like international actors.
By the way, who is Abhishek? So many ask this question even though he is around a dozen films old now. I think atleast now, he better quit acting. I dont know why he is thrusted time and again on to the audience even though he cant act no matter how hard he tries. Moving on, I still vote for classics like Bawarchi, Guddi, Mili and likewise, who didnt had big stars but the acting was top class which can never be seen again in Indian cinema.
I know that this situation can never be changed and more and more USELESS movies like Dhoom, Dhoom-2 and crap will resurface. So, the only power which can change this situation is - people. Eventually, I am sorry for those who are angry with me after reading all this. But, think globally is all I can say. Thank you.Take care all.
Ravi.
