Ram Charan‘s upcoming movie Dhruva is causing a lot of excitement. We will be seeing Ram Charan donning the khaki for this film. He has never looked sexier, it was for this role he turned vegan, worked out furiously to achieve a certain look. In fact, the Sultan trainer Rakesh Udiyar was brought on board for a certain sequence of this movie. E can’t wait to see the now turned hottie Ram Charan. The cop daram also stars Rakul Preet Singh. For all those who don’t know it is the Telugu remake of Tamil hit movie Thani Oruvan. Another exciting factor – Arvind Swamy will be reprising his villain act in the Telugu version. Yes, his character in Thani Oruvan marked his glorious comeback to Kollywood after so many years. He came back with a bang with his eccentric portrayal of Siddharth Abhimanyu who wasn’t apologetic of his villainy. Strangely, that was the very reason that drew Arvind Swamy to this character. He had specially been approached for a repeat performance in the Telugu remake. as for the music of Dhruva, Hip Hop Tamizha who composed the songs for Thani Oruvan were signed on for Dhruva as well. This also marks their debut in the Telugu industry. “I’m really fortunate to be working with Ram Charan in my first Telugu debut. I couldn’t have asked for a better launch, and I hope this collaboration paves way to more opportunities. I’m really happy with the response to the album, ” So let’s give you our verdict of the Dhruva album. The msuic has been composed by Hip Hop Tamizha and the lyrics have been written by Chandrabose.
Dhruva Dhruva
The title track instantly catches your attention as it opens with Martin Luther’s famous line ” I have a dream”. There is a patriotic feel to this title track, as it gives you an insight into a policeman’s life. Sung my Amit Mishra, he brings in the national sentiment in right doses. The highlight of this song is the fusions beats.
Choosa Choosa
Choosa Choosa is easily the most romantic track. Padmalatha’s seductive voice blends in perfectly with the picturesque locations in the song. The lead pair look too good together. But it feels like Hip Hop Tamizha’s composition for this song and Dhruva Dhruva have sort of overlapped. Beat wise, they sound the same. There is this part in between, where they incorporate fusion beats that sort of elevates the song in parts.
Pareshanura
One of the big highlights of this song is the sitar playing in the background. There is a melancholy to this song that does come out well but despite that, we like this song, the least from this album. Padmalatha definitely sounded better in Choosa Choosa
Neethoney Dance
Sung in Divya Kumar, Nikitha Gandhi ‘s voice, this song is easily the best one in the album. The catchy beats, Rakul Preet Singh-Ram Charan’s chemistry and of course their sexy grooves are the big pluses in this song. They have definitely saved the best for the last.
Verdict
This album will catch everyone’s interest as it marks Hip Hop Tamizha’s debut in Telugu industry but it won’t hold their attention for long. What didn’t work was the almost-repetitive composition for each of the songs. But if you are a party person and you are looking for a new party number, then Neethoney Dance is a your song! For this cool, catchy song, you could give the Dhruva album a try
