Im a big fan of action thrillers and watched almost all the action movies, but when I heard the release of Dhurandhar, it filled me with joy because Ranveer Singh is the lead actor in the film, and Im obsessed with his performance. His acting is characterised by his intense energy, high versatility, and complete immersion in diverse roles. The way he brings infectious enthusiasm and magnetism to his performances makes even the largest-scale role captivating. I was thrilled to watch the movie on its release day as I had been waiting so long for it. I finally did it, and I am delighted to share my review with you all.
The movie Dhurandhar is a high-voltage spy thriller inspired by real-life incidents and covert operations, exploring political intrigue, terrorism, and gang war. It is inspired by real events, including the 1999 IC814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament Attack, and the operations against crime syndicates in Karachi. The movie follows Indias Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajay Sanyal(R. Madhavan), who crafted a daring and indomitable mission to infiltrate and dismantle the powerful terrorist network operating out of Pakistan. To execute this high-risk operation, Ajay Sanyal recruits a 20-year-old boy from Punjab, held captive for committing a revenge-driven crime. After recognising the boys potential, Sanyal decides to mould him into a weapon capable of penetrating Karachis ruthless underworld mafia.
The movie is based on real incidents, so all the characters have played the role of real heroes of our country, and each one of them has done a great job in the movie. The role of Ranveer Singh, as the lead character and the RAW agent, is truly remarkable. The way he brought the raw power and emotion in every scene gave him a perfect return to the big screen. Additionally, R. Madhavan, being the Chief of the Intelligence Bureau, has delivered one of his best performances and made a brilliant impact with his introduction scene. Apart from them, the villainous role of Akshaye Khanna has stolen my heart with his clever and commanding performance. The roles of Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Akash Bedi have also been well done, contributing to their performances and making the movie a big hit.
The movie is full of beautiful views from different parts of the world, but mainly from India. The glory of Punjab, Mumbai, Ladakh, and Thailand has kept you hooked with each scene. The background music resonates with the connection between the audience and the scenes. Although the movie is exciting and showcases real-life incidents that took place in the past, the second half is truly outstanding. The editing of the film is really great and very close to authenticity. The songs, including Ghera Hua sung by Arijit Singh and Ishq Jalakar, were so melodious and well-placed that I still hum them while doing any work. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie time without getting bored in a single scene.
Lastly, if you love watching action thrillers based on real-life incidents or want to know the historic tragedies of our country, this movie is a must-watch. I really like the way makers have showcased the tremendous work of our Intelligence Bureau, which has done a great job, which we may not be aware of. The acting of all the casts, especially Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun, is really great. It is a great comeback of Ranveer Singh on the big screen, which I really enjoyed. Apart from the movies central theme, what really hooked me till the end was its melodious songs and breathtaking views from Ladakh, which gives a sense of refreshment while watching. I never felt any scene or dialogue was unnecessary. Overall, I loved it and highly recommend it!
