Anne Frank-The Diary of a young girl

Anne Frank’s "The Diary Of A Young Girl" is truly a masterpiece. If you

are feeling deserted, disheartened and disapointed , then do read this

book. and you will know that how positive she was , when she was

surrounded by the horrors of second World War .

She was a Jew and her family along with a Van Daan family lived in a secret hide out for

nearly 2 years to escape the Gestapo(Hitlers Secret police) but they

were caught on 4th August 1944.Anne died on March, 1945 when she was

not even sixteen.During this 2 years of their hide out , Anne wrote

letters to ’Kitty’ i.e to her diary (Anne named her diary ’Kitty’).She

wrote her  feelings in her diary which shows the gradual

development of a little girl into a mature girl with a positive

attitude. When I was reading this book , all the characters seemed to

come alive.Simple language but deep feelings made this book a

classic. Her attraction for Peter, her affection for her father, and her

disgust towards Mrs.Van Daan were expressed beautifully.

Her strong desire for freedom and her love for nature reflected in this

book.Although she was only 15 but she knew herself so well ! This

tragic real life story is really wonderful.
