I have been using internet for a very long time. Once while browsing, I came across a word that I had not known before. Not wanting to ignore it, I casually typed dictionary.com in the url and the site opened.
I hadn’t thought there would be such a site, with such an easy name.
Since then, I always keep this site open on a side tab. Whenever there is a word, that is new to me, or I am doubtful about its meaning, or I want to know a synonym, I just use this site. It has greatly enhanced my vocabulary. And while writing, it suggests me simple words with simple meanings. It even gives examples of the usage of the word, one is looking at, as well as the opposite word for it.
It even has word games, so one can have fun while playing with words. I used to play it earlier.
Also, it has the feature of pronouncing every word loudly. There are few words in English that are pronounced differently and not as per the spellings. This is when, the feature of pronunciation on speaker, comes in handy.
