As someone who loves original Coke I was a bit hesitant to try this version, but as I am trying to cut down on sugar I gave it a go. I heard this is a low sugar and low calorie drink option made by coca-cola. similar tasting to coke yet is healthier but I feel it is Zero sugar, Zero taste. I will never buy this again - it is nothing like the original regular coke. Too watery for my liking not too fizzy either. The taste isnt really enjoyable.
It is a diet drink with artificial sweeteners, so shouldnt be consumed on a long term basis. There have been a lot of scary reports about artificial sweeteners and also fizzy drinks, so I have been buying less of these sorts of drinks.
Overall I am not a fan of Coke Zero. The benefits are certainly positive, however as I do not consume soft drink frequently, I prefer the full strength standard cocoa cola drink over the zero equivilant. The flavour of coke zero appears lacking and it is nowhere as refreshing on a hot day. I will stick with normal coke instead.
Diet Coke may provide a good alternative for a diabetic or someone who wants to cut down on sugar content. For someone who wants to lose weight and still have soda, it can be a nice alternative.
But I give it a low rating simply for the taste.
