Dan Browns book has all the makings of a short lived thriller. No doubt this book is fast paced. Its also easy to grasp on an intellectual level. Thats because its not a very intelligent book.
The story follows the exploits of ace cryptographer Susan Fletcher and her fiance - ace linguist David Becker. Both of them are working towards the same goal in two very different countries- to find the key to a mysterious code.
I dont want to reveal too much of the plot because the plot itself changes every few pages. It starts off with Susan summoned to work on a Saturday because of some emergency. Her boss then painstakingly explains the emergency to her like shes a ten year old or something ( the funny part is, its mentioned early on in the book that Susan has an IQ of 170).
Inspite of this, the smart people in charge of the U.Ss national security have a hard time grasping childish concepts and often have to be told whats what by someone else.
Apart from these anomalies, the book is mildly interesting. If I could finish it in a day, anyone could finish it sooner. I recommend it for some of you who happen to be sitting at home for a day with nothing to do.
But please dont take it seriously. Its like I mentioned in the title- ujnf qbtt pomz(try decrypting that)
