The best of all....

After watching “DIL CHAHTA HAI”, I was spellbound. I have watched it more than 10 times till now. Each time I watch it, I fall in love with this movie. First interesting thing was how they modified the name of Akhshaya Khanna (Siddharth) to ‘Sid’. And I found many Siddharhths of my college changing their names to “Sid”.the next one was Aamir’s hair style. Again, many guys in my college came out with that cool look. Even they went for somewhat cooler look by coloring their hair do with golden or silver stripes. 3rd one was the music- “koi kahe ……” was (rather is) rocking. Whenevr you listen to this song your feet will start dancing; your whole body will zoom with the music. Then comes Saif’s comedy. This was the first time I actually started liking his work and after that I became his fan. One of the best scene was that scene where Saif is on phone talking to his girl friend (Priya). Before he starts talking he had made up his mind to show Priya that he is a man and she can’t make him her pet. But he could not actually complete a single statement; all were hanging: “magar mein”, “lekin woh”, “par sunoto” ….. there are so many other scenes where you can’t help but laughing, like the scene where Aamir gets a blow from Ayub and of course a black eye, the scene where the Swedish( was she!!!!) girl was looting Saif and many others.

Coming back to music, I should not forget “ tanhaayi…..”; great song; great wordings. You just try to understand the song, just listen and read between the lines…..too good. And the title song “dil chahta hai….” Is also superb. You can’t get bored during any of the songs. I am saying this because I, personally, get bored during all those songs in the movies. Whenever I watch any movie on my pc I just cut all the songs, but with this movie, I will never do that, with the songs like “woh ladki hai kahan………”, & “jaane kyon………”.

The movie is all about “friendship” and “love”. These two words are the two best things we can get from this life. ‘Friendship’ is meaningless if we don’t have ‘love’ in between and vice versa. Three people…….of different characters, different background, even different hobbies…..still they are the best buddies. We don’t need a similar person for friendship. We just want a friend who can be comfortable with us and can like us as we are. A friend should have the courage to make us feel that we are wrong when we are actually making any mistake. Even love demands the same thing. Both of them should be with us at each turning point of our lives. That is what this movie is all about.

Even if you feel whatever I have written is rubbish, I suggest you to go and watch this movie. Call all your friends and family members to your home, arrange the movie cd and watch it. Enjoy the colors of life with this movie. Dance with the rhythm, laugh with your friends, see the colorful Goa………feel the pleasure of “having” and “being” a friend. And your heart will surely say “Dil chahta hai…… kabhi na bite ye chamkile din……..”
