Wow!Thats the feeling I get after listening to the soundtrackof Dil chahta hai.D.C.H surely rocks, be it the music, promos or the starcast.The promos of the film look slick and stylish.D.C.H is Farhan Akhtar’s foray into the world of cinema as director.The film also boast of a great starcast(Aamir, Saif, Akshaye, Preity, Sonali and Dimple playing the main leads).The music is by the composer trio Shankar-Eshan-Loy and lyrics r by Javed Akhtar.The music of the film is groovy and is a winner all the way.The album comprises of nine tracks, including a love theme and a instrumental.
The album starts off with the title track, D.C.H, sung effortlessly by Shankar Mahadevan.The song is funky and full of energy and vigour.I just freaked out on the song .It is in two version, with the other one being equally great.
Jaane kyon is too good a song and one of the best I have heard off late.It is brilliantly sung by Udit Narayan and Alka.Y.The song is very catchy and lively and the innovative orchestration makes this song stand out, not to forget the lyrics by Javed.A.Aamir and Preity are lookin fab in the song and their on screen chemistry is wonderful.
Woh ladki hai kahan is another very foot tapping no and Shaan completely overshadows Kavita.K in the song.
Kaisi hai yeh rut sung by Srinivas is kind of a dreamy track, with beautiful lyrics and soulful music.I love this song.
Koi kahe kehta rahe sung by the three pop icons Shankar-Shaan-K.K is a hip-hop kind of a song with a nicebeat and rythem to it.
Akash, s love theme(Akash is Aamir’s name in the film)sounds good and will be more effective in the context of the film.
Rocki’n Goa is an instrumental and is cool.
The album ends with the song Tanhayee sung by the versatile Sonu Nigam.Its a fantastic song coz of good lyrics and excellent singing by Sonu nigam.
So all in all its a great soundtrack u cannot afford to miss it.Go for it.
