Great Movie of its time.

This time I will be discussing one of the great movies of yesteryears which was released in 1963.

Characters

Rajkumar-Ram

Meena Kumar-Sita

Rajendra Kumar-Dr Dharmesh

Plot

Well the story starts in a hospital where Dr Dharmesh is working for cancer patients.

One day Ram and Sita comes to the same hospital where Dharmesh is working as Ram is suffering from cancer.

The story goes back to the flashback as Sita is the same lady whom dharmesh loved.

Sita told dharmesh that due to some financial restrictions she was married to Ram.

Ram somehow gets to know about the affair.

One day Ram expresses his desire that after his death, Dharmesh should marry Sita.

Sita goes to Dharmesh that if Ram dies after operation, she would also give her life.

Ram promises Sita that he will save the life.

Ram burns the midnight lamps and works hard.

In the end Ram’s operation becomes sucessful but Dharmesh dies.

This movie depicts love, sacrifice, hard work, relationship etc.

This movie also depicts character of true indian wife.

Music

Brilliant score by Shankar-Jaikishen and they have justifiied their reputation.

Songs

Great songs

1.Hum tere pyar mein-Lata

2.Tum sab ko Chhodkar-Mohd Rafi

3.Yaad na jaye-Mohd Rafi

4.Ruk Ja Chand-Lata

A must to see movie and certainly not for comedy lovers.
