Three girls, One boy.
Obviously we were all expecting there to be a tragic death, or unfaithfulness. But no.....nothing like that. This boys heart asked for three girls, and that too directly after one and another. What kind of love is this?????? One didnt work out so move onto the next one.
Ok...admitted that Nikhil(Shaheed Kapoor) realises that there is only one girl he really wants to be with towards the end. But in what way? After he has tried out all the other girls in the universe??? What is this a trial and error session??? Oh yea...a really great method of finding your true love!!!
PLOT:
Completely and totally bekaar. Abolishes the true meaning of love altogether. Nikhil(Shaheed Kapoor) is in love with Neha(Soha Ali Khan) and he has a perfect little life in a village called Samarpur. However, the problem: Neha will only be with him if they both move to Mumbai. (Their love is completely unconditional of course).
Both of them are so ziddi that Neha eventually ends up in Mumbai....without Nikhil. But then.....he realises that he truly loves her and goes to Mumbai to declare his undying love to her and beg her to come back.
Whilst in the train station, he bangs into a beautiful girl and falls right on top of her, but it turns out that she gets really annoyed and runs off. (Instead of doing the typical Bollywood actress thing and falling in luv with him straight away...or so we think!!!)
Neway back to Neha, she refuses to come back to him as she has already got a job as an airhostess. Nikhil accepts this.
Nikhil is very fond of old music and it is because of this fondness that he manages to get a great job in a music store. Working there is Sara(Tulip Joshi) and the two become great friends. See what develops??? Yea that?s right he falls in love with her. But then he finds out she has a fiancé....she was his 2nd victim but not his last!!!!
Nikhil is staying in his friends uncles flat while he is temporarily in Mumbai...(without the uncle knowing of course, he has conveniently gone out of Mumbai for 2 months!!!)
Remember the beautiful yet arrogant ladki in the train station? Well, she and her mum are staying in the same block of flats as him. Her and Nikhils story is a bit different. This Gujarati girl named Shagun (Ayesha Takia) pretends she hates him but he finds out she really loves him by reading her diary on her computer (I mean who keeps their diary on the desktop of their computer in full view???). She was pretending because she had a paranoid view on men but then Nikhil picks her as his last victim and declares his undying love to her. Tho inka chakar shuru hogaya!
But then Neha and Sara return.........
I wont give the complete plot away because it is sooo long and confusing but here?s most of it!!! And you get a general idea of what the films like. Im not saying it wasnt entertaining....I was laughing at the stupidity all the time whilst watching this film.
ACTORS:
Shaheed Kapoor: Ok...one good point. Shaheed Kapoors acting was actually pretty good and his dancing was like an amateur Hrithik Roshan....very good work from him...if the film had been decent maybe he would have got full credit for his work!!
Soha Ali Khan: Oops, debut film a complete flop, sorry Soha ur acting did not live up to our expectations after your mother and brother but oh well. Better luck 4 her next time.
Tulip Joshi: Not a very big role in this film, not really enough to judge but acting ok as far as beginner actresses go.
Ayesha Takia: Definitely best of all the girls. Beautiful yet innocent face, some decent clothes, and overall good acting.
SONGS: Songs in this film were actually mazedar....definitely the highlights of the film. The filming of some songs like Gustakh Dil were really orginal and well presented, and the song was really nice too. Other great songs include Kubaku with Shaheed Kapoor looking nice in a suit, Aisa Dewana?so hummable and Maine Chun Liya, a very sweet love song.
OVERALL:
I wouldnt recommend this film as a good film, only if you wanted to have a really good laugh. (And thats laughing at them not with them!!!) Like I said, I was entertained but only to the extent of the acting and stupidity of the plot.....nothing great about this film, only the soundtrack. Definitely recommend those songs!!!
Every1 have a really nice day and dont let ur dil mang more than expected from this film cos its really not worth it.
Kal, yeh dil mangtha more, Aaj, no more!!!!
