Dilwale is Rohit shettys latest venture after the superhit chennai express, however, it falls short of expectations on many grounds.
Dilwale was touted as the modern day version of DDLJ bringing together bollywoods most romantic couple of recent times( Srk and kajol), but the movie failedto depict the emotion and the romantic content due to a mangled script and multi casts. The story shows the bond between brothers( srk and varun dhawan) as an ideal botherhood and jumps over and beyond the romantic appeal between srk and kajol.
The script is poorly written and the action sequences are comical and annoying. Varun dhawan and kriti shanon were caught in between the main leads srk and kajol and their characters were not fully portrayed or developed which made the scenes look dull and boring.
The unjustified and unreasonable use of cars just for the sake of stunts and action seemed rather illogical and unnecessary.
Verdict: go for the movie if u want to spend some time with ur gfs / bfs or if u r a srk- kajol fan. Else, save ur hard earned money.
