I am a subscriber for Dish TV from 2004. I added a child connection in November 2006. It took 2.5 months to convince Dish TV of my child connection. I faced disconnection music several times without any valid reason. Dish TV toll free number is impossible to get through. It is difficult to get STD numbers and gets terminated automatically before informing the call centre persons what the real problem is after going through many redundant(often repated info like name, VC number, several times in a single call) info.
Dish TV acts like a big dada deactivating the connection without any reason. after several inquiries you learn that it was a technical problem. In India for any problem customer is punished.
Dish TV does not inform you when your subscription ends. You come to know only after complaining that you are not receiving the channels. Even after paymnet is made Dish TV takes several days to activate the connections. You are left high and dy interfacing with call centre persons who do not know the exact problem( or they dont want us to know?) and evrey time you hear different stories.
You write emails. Whoof. no answer. You show your irritation to call centre guys they simply cut it out.
I do not know why the regulating bodies do not set up guideines for DTH operators on service level agreements. The guilty to be punished. Customer should get the benefit of getting nonstop service.
Whom to contact for redressel of complaints?
You are in for shock if you think you are equipped to get nonstop TV signals by installing UPS. Beware DISH TV is there to act spoil sports with unconditional disconnections.
