Hi!dont presume myslf as a zee/dish employee after reading this review...i am a telugu from chennai, where CAS is in force eversince I landedup here!all these 3 years in chennai I was deprived of (qulity telugu channels like tv9&etv2, , and the discovery, animal planet, natgeo’s etc etc).adding salt to these wounds is the rude behaviour of the local cable owner , who as expected is a goonda , but also affiliated the party in power here.(for the beginers the cable distribution in tamilnadu is controlled by the maran family , closest relatives of the ruling dmk).fed up with the cable guy’s behaviour , i had removed removed connection and was waiting for almost 6 months for tatasky’s launch.so y I opted for dish instead.no telugu channels in tatasky’s package...biggest reason..2nd, with few channels tata was demanding the sky! so I calledup dish callcentre and was given dealer’s address in mambalam(my locality in chennai).the dealer happened to be a nokia dealer also(sayar systems).the daeler had a young and energetic son , who turned up at my house along with the zenega STB took payment and sent the dish the next afternoon.by the evening installtion was done.and in2 days pay channels were also active.there were no calls/mails by me after receiving the STB! and all installtion & activation was done smoothly.but I give only 60 marks to dishtv for the service 1.rain outage is common during medium rains( am I fortinate that I doesnot rain much in chennai?) 2.dishtv insists on taking unwanted channels , when u need only one..i want pogo for which I shd pay for all the unwanted stuff. 3.pic quality just ok..not dvd... 4.movie on demand is a misnomer. 5.the condiotion that: stb is rented to me and bought by me , but I will have only 12 months warranty! but any how now I pray that tata’s..reliance’s.& suntv’s dth . will mend and bend the dishtv ..as competion has done in the telecom space
