I AM ALSO DISH TV SUBSCRIBER OVER ATLEAST 15 MONTHS, AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANTS ALSO UNTOLERABLE.


DISHTV ON ITS WEBSITE ADVEERTISES THAT IF YOU MAKE PAYMENT OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION ON TIME, YOU GET FREE MOVIES WORTH RS.100/- ON MOVIES ON DEMAND.


I AM REGULAR IN MAKING PAYMENT TO THEM , SO I SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO ABOUT FREE MOVIES WORTH RS. 400/-, BUT I DID NOT WANT TO SEE ANY MOVIES SHOWN ON THE MOVIE ON DEMAND CHANNELS, I NEVER OPTED FOR THIS FREEBIES SO FAR.


BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME , I DONT KNOW, LAST SUNDAY, SUDDENLY I FELT TO TRY AND ASK FOR MY FREE MOVIES, SO I ASKED A CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANT , IF I COULD GET MY FREE MOVIE, HE REPLIED I SHOULD, THAT TOO AFTER CONSULTING HIS SUPERIORS, AND WHEN I REPEATEDLY CONFIRMED FROM HIM THAT THE MOVIE WOULD BE PROVIDED FREE, I AGREED TO GIVE ME THE MOVIE, AND HE IMMEDIATELY ACTIVATED THAT MOVIE FOR ME.


IT WAS ANOTHER THING, THAT THE MOVIE ’SKY HIGH’ WAS A BORING ONE, AND LAMENTING ON THE SELECTION OF MOVIES BY DISH TV STAFF, I SHUT OFF THE MOVIE IN NO TIME WITHOUT COMPLETELY GOING THRO’ THE ORDEAL OF SUCH A HOPELESS MOVIE.


BUT THE INTERESTING THING HAPPENED, WHEN I CHECKED MY STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT WITH DISH TV, AND TO MY SURPRISE, I WAS CHARGED RS.63/- FOR THE MOVIE WHICH WAS GIVEN TO ME FREE.


AND THEN REAL HORROR STARTED, FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS, I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANTS, WRITTEN COUPLE OF LETTERS ALSO TO DISHTV, TO CANCEL THE CHARGES UNCALLED FOR, BUT ALL THE TIMES, NEW NEW EXCUSES WERE FABRICATED BY CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANTS AND FLOOR SUPERVISOR; LIKE ONLY HINDI MOVIES ARE GIVEN FREE NOT ENGLISH MOVIES, I HAD ORDERED A DAY EARLIER THAN I SHOULD, [IF I WAS EARLIER BY ONE DAY, THEN THEY SHOULD ADJUST AGAINST MY LAST RENEWAL FREE QUOTA], AND OTHER BULL SHITS.


THE FACT IS , WHEN IT WAS PROVIDED FREE BY THE CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANT, WHY SHOULD I BE CHARGED FOR THE SAME, AND IF ACCORDING TO THEM ANY MISTAKE WAS DONE BY THE ASSISTANT, WHY SHOULD I SUFFER?


AT PRESENT, WHAT I HAVE SUFFERED IN PUTTING THRO’ SEVERAL CALLS AND WRITING LETTERS IN THE MATTER, THAT COULD BE SUMMED UP AS TERRIBLE.
