I got a software upgrade for my Zenega STB from Dish TV on 4th September 2006 morning.
Over all, the new system looks better better than before though some problems like -
We cant skip unwanted channels like Dish interactive (though it is not at all interactive!); earlier I could skip it and retain my last visited channel to reappear on restarting.
Remote control - most of the keys now doesn’t work!
Moving from one favorite list to other is more difficult.
Sorting channels - earlier one is more easy to me.
Some good things are - No errors like scrambled channels etc didn’t appear NOT even ONCE. Earlier it used to come for few seconds or more everyday and get corrected sooner or later.
I think the upgrade will rectify the frequent complaint that are told by most DISH TV users. Definitely Dish TV has to improve or otherwise their competitors will take them up in future.
Update:
AFTER ONE WEEK - Not even once error message or Scrambled channel message appeared even after one week!! EVER EVER FIRST TIME TO BE LIKE THIS!!!
