Over the years, new ISPs have come out in the market. Right from the original VSNL to the Caltiger. I have been using VSNL since more than 3 years and find it pretty good. It has comparatively good speed and excellent services.
One day, I liked the scheme that Dishnet offered and decided to go for it. I paid Rs.500 for a connection that would be available for me till 5 years. Everyday, you get 1 hour free. If you use more than an hour, for every hour you pay Rs.10. I liked this scheme.
I went home and inserted the CD. It was pretty good as it had the latest and most popular software, ready for installation. I was now sure that the connection too would be good. But I was in for a surprise.
I joined the phone line to the modem and connected. And believe me, it took 15 minutes for just connecting to the net and displaying its home-page! It as slow as a snail and it seemed ages till I got connected to the websites; considering the fact that I had a 56kbps modem.
Really folks. Even though it is cheap, dont register for it. Even if you can get it for free, refuse it. Coz this ISP is not even good enough for a single paisa excluding the Registration Kit CD which is exceptionally good.
