Reading through the reviews by others on Dishnet DSL, I am largely shocked at the amount of bad publicity that Dishnet DSL has been attracting.
First things First. I got my connection in 2 days. I have a 512kbps line, with a limit to the free data transfer I can do in a month. The speeds are amazing. The downtime I have had hardly mounts to anything.
Their traffic limitation is justified, in saying that, they will charge you for extra traffic- the bandwidth in laymans terms is a I Mbps in 1:2 contention. If they give you unlimited traffic, who will take leased lines? It would be like cannibalising their leased line products.
About the customer care- I personally believe- Garbage in Garbage out. If you shout at them, they have every right to shout back at you. Customer care does not mean they dance to your whims and fancies. We should also acknowledge the fact that as customers- we pay $10 and expect a Million dollar product. Everything in life comes at a price. The company has taken a big risk about 5 years ago to test the Indian waters with the DSL technology- a time when DSL was nascent even in the US of A.
You cant expect a new born to stand on one leg and juggle balls. A learning curve is inevitable in all industries.
Please remember- When you point an accusing finger, 3 are pointed towards you!
