Dont touch this service even if your life depended

I run a small web development company and so naturally use the internet quite extensively. When I heard that DSL was available I thought it was an excellent deal since we didnt have to pay for telephone charges. So I signed up for a DSL account in December, 2000 and was quite happy until March, 2001. I had a pretty harrowing experience getting them to install the service in the first place having to deal with rude and incompetent technical people. But that’s very minor compare to the extent of apathy at Dishnet.


It was in March that things started going a little awry. ( I later discovered that the last instalment on the initial deposit was paid in February).


Our bills started skyrocketing though there was no real increase in usage. I at first presumed that I was not keeping control of my usage. Then I found that the bill was doubling every month to the point that it started becoming more than what my telephone bills used to be.


When I call Dishnet, I get rude customer support people on the line. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager had the audacity to tell me that he could not handle my request for clarifications since he was busy with his billing work.


Several letters to the billing department, emails to customer support, letters to the CEO have all resulted in nothing. After a letter stating that I will take legal action the bill has mysteriously delated to half the previous amount as of May. All I had asked for was a clarification on the bill and a detail on our usage pattern.


Dishnet is worse than government office. Even if you have no choice dont touch this service with a 10 foot barge pole.
