DDSL--- One more story to tell

Since I saw all negative ratings about this product . I decided to write my experience too. After working on a 56 k modem for quite sometime we decided to go for high speed connection. As our is a industrial area there was no cable internet there..neither there was bses powersurfer connection. Only one which was available was DDSL which we had to take inspite of knowing the market rep of the company. After apply ...and around 1000 calls we got a DDSL connection after (hold your breath) one year... but we were helpless.. We opted for a 64k and speed was nothing to be compared with . We were better off with 56k dialup modem. Plus their monthly quota of data transfer... which was very easy to cross in a week if you used it for 8 hours a day. So we ended up paying the same amount that we end up paying using a phone line. And all other ppl who have reviewed about the customer service are absolutely right about it. There is no such thing as customer service. Sometimes They pick up the phone and in typical governement tone.. mumble something and hang up the phone.. without even answering. And sometimes if you are lucky and some lady answers your call.. you would get a nice answer saying everything is ok from here.. try reconnecting. And yeah dont fall for the marketing gimmicks of this .. the data transfer rate allowed per month is tooo low. Nowadays when cable internet is dirt cheap and you get unlimited bandwidth I wonder how these guys are playing in market with such high priced internet access.. We upgraded to 512 k recently and I must say the 512 k speeed is better. but then the cost factor. So I have discontinured this service.

DDSL not recommended.
