We have been to Diveagar for 4 days in Jan’14.…from 17th-20th Jan…and must say, that the place met our expectations….we traveled by our car from Mumbai, and unfortunately our GPS failed us….it took us to a lonely, rural stretch, which did not have proper road even.the total journey took 6.5 hrs….but on reaching Diveagar, all our tiredness and anger for the GPS vanished….the place is beautiful…there is nothing much to do, other than the Diveagar Beach…which is just awesome….a quiet, clean, safe beach….we were three – myself, my husband and my 2.5 yrs old daughter…we enjoyed there a lot….there are some water sports there….we also did travel to Shriwardhan and Harihareshwar, through the parallel road to sea(as suggested by some visitors in Mouthshut) and found, that was the best thing that could have happened. it was so very beautiful, scenic, white sand beaches…also the visit to Jangira Fort was worth.
We had planned for 2 days stay, but extended our stay therthe Diveagar beach is enough to keep you hitched. And of course, no phone calls(bad n/w coverage by some providers), makes you enjoy the vacation to the core.
Food could have been better variety and options not much….just one place had Crabs(Rane Khanawal), so kept visiting this place….we also ate at Patil(very limited option) and Exotica(buffet lunch)….food was good, but somehow find the variety of Konkan Non-Veg meals variety more in Mumbai…
We stayed at Arya Inn…a nice place to stay…very clean and well maintained….spacious room, clean bed-sheets, clean bathroom…prompt house keeping and room service….power backup and hot running water, makes the stay/travel/vacation super cool….
