Divya Bhaskar-Tamari Marji nu Samachar Patra.... Its already in 8 states of india, and as a new entrant in gujarat, it has started off with a BANG. We are witnessing a never seen competition in the stagnang field of press in gujarat. Entry technique adopted by Divya bhaskar is worth mentioning. It attacked the minds of customers directly instead of attacking Gujarat Samachar or Sandesh. It entered with a punch line of ’’tamari marji shu che’’ (what do u wish for). they conducted survey of all house holds regarding their tastes, preferences, what do they like in a paper, what do they hate, and what do they want more. after a thorough survey, they released the copy, and sale on first day crossing 4 lakh copies, and ever increasing day by day. Due to competition faced by this gaint, local kings also had to modify their product, prising, and advertising techniques. Sandesh reduced price, gujarat samachar increased pages, and also gifts and all that sort of things. Today, great deal of competition, in fact a cold war is going on between the players.... but the winner is CUSTOMER-THE KING. hands off the the great entry of divya bhaskar in this monopoly type market of press. just give it a try, if not yet.....
