What is true beauty? Is it really those woman who for one moment in their life strut their bodies across a stage for everyone to judge them? Is it the long sexy legs, and the nice skinny waist? How about the nice breasts and those beautiful eyes? The hair that seems to never be a mess, and each strand has its right place on the head? Those sparkling bright teeth that shine when they smile, and the laugh that comes from their lips when they have something funny to say? Is this true beauty? Is this what all men are looking for in a woman? Is that what each and every woman wants to really look like and represent? Let me tell you what I believe true beauty is.
True Beauty
I have been taught that true beauty doesn’t come from the outside of a person, but it comes from what’s inside of them. It comes from their heart, and their personality. If a woman looks as beautiful as those in the pageants, but yet her inner beauty is nothing but rudeness, and anger, and hate, and self righteous, then I say that is not true beauty, and with a inside like that I’m sure it will taint the outside beauty as well.
Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, it doesn’t matter if you are skinny, fat, or in between. It doesn’t matter if your hair isn’t always picture perfect, or your teeth are not as straight as those in beauty pageants. It shouldn’t matter if you have a few pimples on your face, or your legs are short and stumpy. It shouldn’t matter if you have a smile that isn’t all that great. Instead beauty comes from everyone in different ways.
Let’s get realistic here, does your spouse or loved one look like those women who represent their country or state or nation? Most of the population doesn’t look like them; I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with those women and their beauty. I’m just saying that realistically not all woman look like that. So men do that mean you don’t think your wife is beautiful if she doesn’t look like those woman? I’m sure your answer would be no. I at least hope that is what you would say. I would hope you would say that it didn’t matter what your wife, or girlfriend looked like because true beauty is within her heart and soul, and that is what you loved about her.
I’m not saying it is wrong to have beauty pageants; I’m just saying that we shouldn’t glorify those women who are in them. We should remember that beauty is more deeper then the skin.
So to the question does a beauty pageant show true beauty to the woman? I have to say yes in some ways it does. It show’s beauty by their answers to questions, it show’s beauty by their way they handle their body in a manner that isn’t degrading to woman. But do we really need a beauty pageant to show off the beauty of women? NO WE DON’T! Look past the skin and you will find true beauty.
