We trekked till Dodital and it took us full one day of trekking no stop. On our way as we were climbing higher and higher we were finding deposits of ice/snow on the trees and we all wanted to be at snow caped peak we presumed at Dodital we will see snow/ ice. Trek was not so easy it was steep climb. It is basically a freshwater lake and its at an altitude of snowline. Finally we managed to reach Dodital it was quite a beautiful lake covered with Himalayan ranges and dense forest all around. We were instructed to be in a group and not to go anywhere alone. There were empty huts of villagers who come and sell eatables during tourist seasons. In middle there was a huge hall, the floor was almost 6-7 feet above the ground. We pitched our tents as we decided to spend night there by the lake side. With couple of hours the climate changes drastically and it started raining, we went and spent the night in the empty tents of villagers. When morning we woke up the entire place was covered with white sheet of snow all trees, path, peaks and the entire lake. The scene could have only been possible in a dream. It had snowed really heavy during the night. When we went near the lake there was a hard layer of frozen ice at least 6 inches dense like a skating ring. I can never forget the scene, lucky enough to witness such a gift of nature.
