Like any other, I was a typical Google user. But as always, man wants more, I did want more & started looking for other search engines & found a lot, but actually using dogpile now days since I get something more than Google. Honestly, I’m sure there could be better like vivisimo, kartoo, jux2, maama (I like this too), allthweb. But I’m yet to use all these people fully.
The best thing that I liked about dogpile was the their ability to meta crawl on multiple search engines like google, yahoo, search, msn & ask & the way they present them.
Another good thing that I liked was the recommended search links that is provided onto the right side, both, recommendations as well as the recent search.
I also like the their results being displayed saying from which index the link was being found, whether yahoo or msn or google or both.
I hope this will help anyone in a longer run in deciding which internet database would yield a better result one is looking for.
I’ve personally seen that a few links missing from google are being displayed on dogpile and mostly all of them proved useful to me. I personally thing google is faster than dogpile, yet I can remain patiently for all those links, may be I can call "hidden" from google? I’m yet to explore all its feature completely to comment more. Who knows the best part unless one pays to Google for their searches to compare.
