I was using Idea ChitChat before my dolphin. reason for switching the service is coverage. I live in Bajanpura-east delhi where most of the time I found my idea service out of coverage area. Within a week I have to purchase a new connection. option were limited either go for costly Airtel & Hutch or CDMA. I was so worried about the MTNL’s dolphin because it is a govt. department and you can not say to any about their service.
I purchased my connection from a local vender. I have to submit a photograph with application form and told to wait for 24 hrs to funtional my services, but it got started after 48 hrs.
I was offered full talk time. There is no problem with signal anywhere ecept a Delhi’s nearby area like Ghaziabad (only some times).
Even it works at basement of our office, where some time Hutch does work.
My suggestion for new customer is please forget that this is a Govt service. They have a 24/7 good customer care department.
But as such as value added services are concerned they are little bit behind. Alough they have Free SMS section which is very useful.
EVen they are providing a post paid connection with a 100/- monthly rental. Lowest in India (except BSNL which has 99/-)
