There was a time when our office moved to West Delhi that we had a lot of good times at Dominos.
But times change and things change too. Dominos here has seemingly lost its edge. Most of the time the pizzas are stale. The chicken too was bad once. Last week we ordered around 10 garlic bread and a few of them were burnt.
I dont give a damn for the 30 minute deadline. Yeah if you can give quality stuff in 30 minutes then its well and good. Its a feather in your cap, but if the only way you can make it in 30 minutes is by overheating your oven and burning your garlic bread (Maybe you do it to replace the stale smell with burnt smell) then Im just getting a tasteless, generous helping of saturated fat.
Needless to say I dont order from Dominos anymore, its not only overpriced, but last time when we asked the ac to be turned on, we were told it was spoilt, but when a fancily clad woman came in and shouted at them it repaired itself automatically... well I dont know what pressures they work under, but if my money is worth less than someone elses, there are a lot more better feeding places in Delhi.
whats worse, they dont even have an invoice for official accounting. When we ask for the bill, the delivery man peels off a computer printed label stuck to his shirt sleeve and hands it over to us claiming that it is all that he can give us. How embarassing can these people get.... All credit should go to the stationery wallahs for using good gum on the sticker so that it lasted the journey stuck to his sleeve.
I really feel bad for these guys rushing to and fro taking dangerous risks in traffic trying to do their job in 30 minutes. I think it is a bad promotion trick. I dont mind waiting 45 minutes if Im going to get something I can enjoy and be satisfied that Ive been recompensed for the money Ive spent.
