No doubt Dominos is the leader in the world, but they suck here in Pune. I have two Dominos outlets near my home both around at 1km distance, one on north side(Bawdhan) and other on south side(Warje) of my home. Both have very very limited space for dine-in so its almost always crowded and bad its idea to have it there.
I earlier used to order from Bawdhan(Pune) outlet and used to get delivery in satisfactory time. Then the other Warje outlet opened few days back, and we thought wow thats good for us. But, in fact that was the worst thing that happened! Now both outlets deny delivering pizzas to us. So having two outlets has made the things worse instead of better service.
I tried to order few pizzas over phone on Sunday 17-JUL-2011 at 9:45pm. First, as in past, I called the Bawdhan outlet and I was told that they no more serve in this area and forwarded me to Warje outlet who in turn said that they also dont deliver. They told me "We don’t deliver in our building(Wonder Futura) post 6pm! " What the hell? Are we not supposed to have pizzas for dinner? Or it is that they alreay have enough business and dont want any more? Hearing this while hungry is frustrating and I had to place my orders with nearby Smoking Joes who happily delivered to me.
Well, I did report a complaint about this to their feedback mail address immediately at same time. The next day I received a call from someone who claimed to be’district manager’ for our area. He promised to take some action, and so far looks like he forgot about it. Its a week after that talk, and I haven’t heard from them again in spite of sending a reminder.
If you are counting on these guys to help you at eleventh hour, please rethink or you will endup sleeping hungry.
Good luck Dominos, I wont be surprized if someone will dominate over you soon! And please, stop dropping the discount/advertisement handbills at my doorstep and also stop spamming my emails with offers. Why all this if you cant deliver?
