Recently ordered from their Dwarka Sector -12 (New Delhi) outlet. The order was delivered on time - however the base was not suitably cooked and crisp and brown as it is supposed to be. THIS WAS SORE POINT NUMBER 1
Now I had this pizza desired to be a (half and half) - whatever is the term for it - meaning - 50% of the pizza topping was Keema and the other 50% was Chicken Golden Delight .... but almost the whole pizza had pieces of Keema .... so the topping was just tossed carelessly by their worker in the kitchen ..... THIS WAS SORE POINT NO 2
Anyway since it was not so bad and that it was edible ate it - for dinner .... Now next morning I decided to at least put this in the notice of the manager - that the delivered pizza to me last night was not up to the mark - which is guaranteed by a franchise and hence what builds their brand and reputation - that eat a Dominos anywhere - anytime - and it will taste the same ....
Now this guy (Manager) comes - sounds an average Joe - I tell him the story - he puts me on hold - checks his system - confirms that I had indeed ordered and asks me - "so what do you want me to do?" - THIS WAS SORE POINT NO 3 .. and the last one - in this whole transaction
Now what kind of a manager is he - he is asking me what action he should take .....
It immediately put me off - I felt in his voice - he thought that I wanted another pizza again now - and for free ....
So I told him listen man - I do not want the 2nd pizza - I had the urge to eat a pizza last night !! but what I want is that when I order a pizza - it is delivered to me as it is supposed to be - crisp - brown - and the way it is supposed to go ....
Immediately - the manager dropped his guard - that I felt in his voice and he said - ok ok - Ill speak to the person who was there last night in the kitchen who made your order and in fact also told me that he will write it in the (log book) my incident .... thanks me .... and we end our conversation ......
Now my questions is ?
Isnt the manager stupid in asking me "what do I want" - meaning how I wanted him to act in this situation - for the fact that my order was not the perfect meal .....
Does not Dominos train these guys - in cases of bad orders?
It looks so absurd manager asking me "Sir what do you want me to do" - hell man I paid 500 rupees that did not give me value for money that I spent - does he not understand it ......?
Ill end this note here and also upload it on the companys website in India .... which as of now is not working (3rd August - 1.46a.m.)
Pizza Hut is another crazy place where the restaurant cutlery(plates) are all scratched - cause when we use forks and knifes cutting the pizza the plates get scratched with the metal of our forks and knives - but the franchise almost everywhere - hardly replaces it and tries to overuse it - jab tak kaam chlta hai - until it comes to a point when every plate is an eye sore - all scratched - so stopped eating in their restaurants like some 4 years ago now ..... ordering home delivery from them only ......
Who runs these companys ...... I guess people with degrees who passed out from colleges dotted on the Delhi - Meerut highway - or the small centers on the Punjab or Haryana highway ...... God cant even eat a decent pizza .......
Buy the way - for pizza lovers - there is a reasonably good place - if you stay in South Delhi - in Chittranjan Park - by the Name of PIZZA SQUARE ..... their pizza base is square, hence that name .... try it out ..... and thanks to mouthshut for this online redressal forum ......
PS Updating this review one day after I wrote it:
So I did also upload this same mouthshut review on Dominos website - within 4 hours they got back to me on phone - were very apologetic and looks like they took up my concern with earnestness -
When I logged my complain on the web site - I got a Consumer id number - it shows they have a system in place for redressal - and then within 4 hours got a phone call from them - they looked very genuinely apologetic - so that ends my story then here .....
