It seems that there are some fine lines between the much advertised ’’30 minutes or free’’ claim of Domino’s Pizza - at least this is what the Madhapur branch, Hyderabad seems to indicate.
I had ordered pizza from them some days back and when I called after 35 minutes, they first rudely claimed that they had told they would deliver in 45 minutes instead of 30 minutes. When I pointed out that they were lying, they changed their story to my area being ’’restricted area’’. When I reminded them that I was only 2 kilometres from their place and that they had twice earlier delivered for free without complaint, they still stuck to their claims.
Finally when I threatened to take them to the press, they changed their story again to this interesting ’’hidden clause’’ that they only deliver for free only thrice, beyond which they have the immunity to deliver anytime without having to pay their much advertised self-penalty.
I wrote to their marketing manager, trying to confirm this but got no reply even after 5 days. I hope people read this mail and think twice before buying their ’’30 minutes or free’’ claim.
