Some critics are unhappy that DON 2 is a heist film, and that brand of DON is forcibly included.Then somebody describes the protagonist as Con and not Don.So what Don plays Con? What should DON do then? Dancing in the bars and simply playing honcho will hardly bring in any action.
And Don 2 has plenty of action to blow your mind away. People comparing it with MI series, Ocean Series, Bourne Series and more should realise that these Hollywood movies are made with a budget 10 to 15 times than with what Don 2 was made.Getting inspired to Hollywood action flicks is no crime.
And when you execute it with panache, it is really commendable as Farhan have presented us with.Don 2 will surely go down in Indian film history as action classic supported by supremely superior technical crew. Definitely cinematography by Jason West is comparable to contemporary A Grade Hollywood action flicks.
Script and Screenplay have been written in an excellent way, kudos to debutants Amit and Amrish for cohesive scripts. Nice that Don 2 producers gave due credit to the newcomers, unlike some actor-turned producer who takes all the credit for themselves.
Don 2 may not be edge-of-the-seat thriller like a typical Hithcock thriller, but surely you cannot take off your eyes from the screen even for a moment.Plot has been masterfully carried forward by Farhan and the perfect finish.Critics who have criticised Don 2 for slow first half don’t know what they are saying. From the >entry of Don 2 within minutes of the film, the film moves at racing pace.
Plenty of intriguing twists and turns to this tale. Editing needs special mention. However all this said, very few actors could have carried the film on their able shoulders as SRK has done. He looked pretty cool, confident without being arrogant, and devilish to the core. Attitude is there but that’s okay considering the demand of his role.
Priyanka chopra’s role of interpol officer was quite impressive.Chemistry between SRK and Priyanka even in the midst of high octane action scenes were high points of the film. Nawab Shah and Boman Irani looked really mean and played quite formidable rivals to don.
Kunal Kapoor does provide some human touch to the film.I would have loved Om Puri played bigger role. Undoubtedly a brilliant and amazing film.
Rightly there are no songs except for one keeping in view of the pace of the movie. A nice break from usual Bollywood sleaze, masala, and college themes for luring students.
