King Khan proves it once again why he is the Badshaah of Bollywood.
Don is for GenX. It’s slick and classy. And in a single word "Awesome".
The storyline is based on the original screenplay of the movie Don, however, with a modern twist. It starts off in Malaysia where drug trafficing is booming. One the biggest business in Malaysia is run by Singhania but managed by Don.
An Indian Officer De Silva plans to end this business and knows that he needs to capture Don. He does succeed in capturing Don when Vijay is born. That’s where all the story and twist begin.
The only weekpoint in the movie was the second half which was slightly stretched. They could have cut down a bit of the fighting and gone straight to the point.
Shankar Ehsaan and Loy haven’t done anything new. However these songs will be blasted all around for the next couple of months. Look out for the song "Aaj Ki Raat". It’s rings in your ears.
Shahrukh is the Don. He is awesome. He is modern, slick and handsome! He looks fine in the movie. He carries the role well. No other actor could have played this role so finely. Priyanka Chopra looks pretty and is alright. Kareena Kapoor looks good too. Isha Koppikar is sweet.
Arjun Rampal doesn’t get much scope. He makes agood attempt. Bomban Irani is fantastic.
Don is a beautifully made film that is eye - catching and gripping. There isn’t a moment in the movie that you feel bored. There are remixes of the old songs, a couple of good new songs, great cinematography and the goodlooking Shahrukh Khan that makes this movie a perfect Diwali Treat.
