Sometimes a person has so many things in his mind for a single subject that the output that he gives is just not up to the mark.
First big mistake of DON was SRK himself. DON as a character is as aristocratic as a prince yet as simple as a village boy. DON’s voice is enough to send the chill wave down the spine yet soothing enough to give you the confidence. DON is aggresive as a tiger and he always counts the consequences of his advances. Not all but most of the things that are integral part of DON’s character were missing in SRK. Icing on the cake was when SRK modified his voice for the character.
Second mistake of the movie was support cast. No body can match HELEN. Though the promos were impressive, but i’ll like people to just watch the promos only. reality bites and it bites harder when a person as capable as Karina just cannot light that spark. The only person that impressed me in the cast was Isha. She did full justice to her role./.. but the question remains where was the role????
Finally Farhan is a great director. Instead of making remakes of the movies, he can do better by making the films that are new in subject. If one remember start of this review he was the man who had many-2 things in his mind and the output was just not there. It is not always the brightest kid comes first in the class and is what happened to Farhan. But still Farhan , I am & will be a great fan of your’s.
The only positive of the movie is cinematography which was really great. I missed the comic timing in the song "khai ke pan banaras wala" .. As far as SRK... this movie leaves a question mark again on his carrer. Can he really do a action flick ??? Only the time can tell!!!
