A good remake of the original Don. Shahruk khan has played the role well. When you first see him on screen, you are bound to get a little dissapointed as you have the grand image of AB in same role. Of course, Sharukh khan lacks that angry young man look. Also he doesnot have the height and personality that made AB definitely look more commanding in this role. But he is good in his own way. He fills in the role with his sense of humor, for which he his more known.
They are many characters taken from the earlier movie, including the main villian. The film is shot in mostly in Malaysia for a change, with lots of natural effects.
There is little role for heroines and they have not matched up to their earlier counterparts. Kareena looks lousy in dance sequence "Ye mera dil..." Priyanka Chopra was somewhat better but again no match to Zeenat Aman.
Overall the movie has a good effect. Some stunts are good like jumping from plane without parachute. There have been small changes from the original, that make it a little confusing, especially the climax at the end.
