The heavy duty promotion of this movie on how it’s a showdown of Amitabh with Shahrukh & then the director’s claim of a vastly different product. It’s the same old product with slick presentation but the characters are not doing much justice to the roles. The director & the stars cry themselves hoarse trying to get the public to treat this movie like a new one rather than the old one. Was it because, after producing it, they find that it cannot be compared to the original one?
Treat it like a new movie, give it a new name & you may enjoy it. If you go to see a comparison you would come back disappointed. Shahrukh Khan has a long way to go before he stands upto Amitabh. I never thought I would think of Amitabh as a good dancer till I saw Shahrukh dancing on Amitabh’s song. The dialogue ’Don ko pakadna mushki...’ coming out of Shahrukh makes one laugh. Seeing Kareena make the Helen moves was hilarious. Priyanka was OK & Boman Irani was wasted in this role. He’s better off as Happy Singh & Dr Asthana. Songs were OK.
