The minimal yet slick camera work, the packaging, the marketing and all the hype put together, would still not be able to satiate the hunger for a real good movie from one of the most promising film makers of our generation.

Shahrukh Khan!!!!! I mean, lets not even get into Kareena, Arjun Rampal, Om Puri etc.... you could swap these guys with just about anyone in the industry and it would have been the same.
But King Khan.... someone needs to educate him and the fim makers that when stardom begins to hijack the character... its time to stop, take a deep breath... and re-look at the ABC.
we just do not enjoy him, anymore... we were watching DON and not DDLJ with Rahul given a lil rey shades. I mean, DON is DON.... one needs to be scared... inspires awe and fear.... a kind of magnetism....and not "oh-so-sweet" or "he-is-such-a-nice-guy-afterall" or "he-is-funny".....
analyse this:
Boman can both be Funny and Scary at the same time - Lucky Singh (Lage Raho), Being Cyrus... etc... and since I mentioned Being Cyrus...., I found myself thinking.... while the credits were being rolled out on the black screen at the end of it all, .... that Abhishek or Saif, would have been a delight in the role!!!
ah, in any case, if only for the twist and to see a well scripted cinema.... and also boman and the rest of the jazz which go with such movies.... its watchable once!
