Remake is not new to Indian Cinema but now people are doing it with open mind and excepting it .
Karma was remake of sholay , all David Dhawans flicks are remake but DON is the biggest remake ever made . And excpectations from movie is sky high (if sky is the limit) . Will SRK play new don well, Will farhan does justice to old DON all answers are here.
Don starts with the DON making a deal with style and police chase and ends with......................i cant reveal any thing as plot may be same but lot of surprises are here and also I should advice u not to read many reviews because any revealation may drown ur interest .
Performance: SRK did it but there is no comparison with Amitabh as characterisation is completely different . lot of actors in past had potrayed the role of don eg. Ajay Devgan in Company , Sanjay dut in umpteen but u cant compare it with Amitabh as characterisation is different same case is here. This is SRK best performance . He potrayed DON with brilliance and also as Vijay he is gr8 . He shows the tension of trapped guy with aplomb .
Priyanka : She is good too. She has put lots of effort as can be seen in stunt scene and those efforts does deliver results.She is as good as Zeenat
Arjun Rampal: I dont know why this actor is not getting recognition he deserve as he has pulled character of Jasjeets short role to new heights . In John and Arjun we got two actors who can add style to movies and they also possess acting skills.
Boman Irani: His role is stronger than role Iftikhars role and I think he is much more talented than Iftikhar and it can be seen in movie he is brilliant as always
OmPuri: Again an actor who is better than Om Shivpuri (who played the role in old DON ) and Om Puri is not the actor who need to reviewed.
Farhan : One word only GR8 . He did hid Job like a professional out on mission and from 1st scene to last scene he does not let u down but Khaike Pan is not needed because todays audience dont want to see song at the time of tense circumstances. Twists added to movie by him are brilliant . Also movie is not scene to scene copy of oldy its too uch differently created by Farhan.
Shankar Ehsaan Loy: I review only two songs Aj ki Raat , Mai hoon Don and Maurya as only they are original songs . Aj ki raat situation and composition on both ground this is brilliant song , Main hoon Don is good too , Maurya re is another situational number and it also does not bore u while watching movie
Action : action are realistic and also stylishly executed . it is not Matrix like. One stunt is brilliant but I will no revea lmuch and dont want u to read reviews as this stunt will be there in every review.
Overall : If u think that expectations are more than any oher movies in past than they are met.
