Doordarshan india’s first channel.
Though it is free channel the quality has not improved with time. The world has gone ahead but doordarshan is still among back laggards.
No government especially the broadcasting ministry has taken any step to improve conditions of the channel.
We are in age of digitalization, we talk about digitalization yet there is no improvement in the quality & viewer-ship.
This channel has always been puppet of government & now it has become a medium of current government’s marketing. You won’t find any reality show or daily soap which attracts or keeps audience glued to this channel. I sometimes feel is it only a conspiracy to keep it low to help private players to exploit customers. Being a government channel it should be the best & top channel I would request the broadcasting ministry to look into it & improve its content & quality. Hope someday it will become HD channel
