I hope most of the urbanites remember Doordarshan. Well it was the channel of choice a few years ago because there was no other choice. But with the opening up of the skies and mushrooming of cable operators I have totally forgotten Doordarshan.
I believe Doordarshan has resigned to catering the rural masses. They make no attempt to improve their programming or quality of their output. The cable operators also allocate the worst possible space to them.
Govt. should have now realised a lesson that use of media for political propoganda has back-fired on them. People don’t trust Doordarshan to produce quality programmes.
Can anyone enlighten me on what good programmes are available on this channel.
People have stayed door from it or is it they have shown it the Door.
