I still remember those old and very good days when only Doordarshan was’The King’ of Indian television and its programs used to be favourite to all, Indian heartbeats were almost connected to every program broadcasting on Doordarshan.
Its programs like Surabhi, Bharat ek khoj, Katha Sagar, Tana bana, serials Maal gudi days, Chandrakanta, Ramayan, Mshabharat, Chanakya, Humlog, Rajni, Buniyad etc and for kids Mogli the Jungle book, Danasur, He-man and many others were just too good.All the programs were made according to taste and values of Indian society.
The Hindi and English News were the only source on TV to know today’s’Global’world.The Anchors and hosts of all the programs whether it was’World this week’or Rangoli of Chitrhaar etc were very good and had very good diction and command over language.Today although we have several TV channels yet there is no joy and enthusiasm of watching TV.
The aura and impression of Doordarshan was awesome and unique, none of the channels of today can beat Doordarshan in that aspect. Doordarshan still making good programs with very good quality with eligible anchors and hosts and living its grace beautifully.Overall Doordarshan has a very special and dear place in Indian hearts which can not be replaced by any other TV channel or by its programs.
